The Kentucky Derby Festival is a wonderful time in our community. More than 4000 volunteers, with the support of 325 sponsors, host a whirlwind of colorful activities for 1.5 million people. With the exception of a handful of “pre-season” events such as the Poster Premier and Spelling Bee, the core of Derby Festival revolves around the two-week, 70-event schedule that precedes the historic running of the Kentucky Derby.
